ostom-i™ Alert Sensor
11 Health and Technologies Limited is a connected medical device company, where all of our patented devices use Bluetooth® wireless technology to send secure real-time data to most mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets and watches. Data is stored on a HIPAA compliant cloud server and then shared with physicians, clinicians, nurses and family members who care for you. Our engineering teams work closely with patients, nurses and physicians to create the most elegant and seamless end user experience across all of our ostomy solutions.
The ostom-i Alert Sensor from 11 Health and Technologies Limited is a discrete connected medical device alerting patients in real time when their ostomy pouch is at a point where it should be emptied, helping to prevent any unpleasant surprises.
The ostom-i Alert Sensor uses Bluetooth wireless technology and the ostom-i app to capture information about patient output volume over a period of time. Data is safely stored on a HIPAA compliant cloud server which can then be shared with physicians, clinicians, nurses and family members.
MICHAEL SERES AND 11 HEALTH AND TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED
In October 2011, Michael Seres became the 11th person in the UK to undergo a small bowel transplant at The Churchill Hospital, Oxford. During surgery he was given an ileostomy and had to cope with the ongoing issues of having a stoma, such as leaks and spills while trying to empty his bag in to a jug to provide output volume and timings to his doctors.
EXTENDING THE REACH OF NURSES
Everyone knows the increased pressure that is put on nurses and nursing time.
Within ostomy/stoma care, the nurse is one of the most vital members of the healthcare team and 11 Health believes that our ostom-i Alert Sensor can be a significant device to assist nurses in many different ways.
