Michael Seres had a simple ideology. Family.

Whether blood relative or part of the 11 Health team, everyone was family. His determination and strength helped move the Seres family, including me, his younger son, across the globe so he could continue to help people have a better quality of life. People say my Dad was a trusted, inspiring, and patient leader – helping countless people in all walks of life and we all know this is not an exaggeration. For him, getting up each morning, working through the pain, was a challenge he felt worth fighting for. I saw it every day.

I can sleep easy at night knowing Dad is reunited with our beloved dog, Waffle, and they can resume their daily walks. If you had met Michael’s little sidekick you will know how happy that dog will be to see his best friend again.

My Dad will not die in vain. Mum, Aaron, Lauren and I will work tirelessly to continue to his legacy. We will honor him by following his values and behaviors and in particular, the way he treated others. He believed that all are worthy of respect, everyone has value and everyone can make a difference. I know for a fact that he saw this in every person he met either socially or professionally.

Life will not be the same without him; he was always a warrior and I can take comfort in the knowledge that he fought till the very very end. I thought he was invincible and I was right because he lives on in all of us. Let’s do as he would have wished and make a difference.
