Michael Seres

Founder

Michael Seres is the Founder of 11 health. Having been diagnosed with the incurable bowel condition Crohn’s Disease aged 12, he has battled all his life with illness, recently being diagnosed with lymphoma. In late 2011 this came to a head and he became the 11th person to undergo a small bowel transplant in the UK at the Churchill Hospital in Oxford. It was then that he was given a temporary stoma.

He started blogging about his journey through Bowel Transplant and his blog now has over 100,000 followers. He decided to use social media to develop global online peer to peer communities: covering over 20,000 patients. He also devises social media strategies around patient engagement. He is now the patient lead for the main UK health twitter chat #NHSSM, a published author and a professional speaker, a member of the NHS England Digital Services user council, the digital strategy advisor to the Oxford Transplant Foundation where he helped implement the first skype clinics and finally he is an ambassador to the Doctors 2.0 conference.
In 2013 he founded the health tech start up 11 health and has developed sensor technology for ostomy patients.

 Adam Bloom

Executive Director

Adam qualified as a pharmacist before going on to co found Intra Tech Healthcare which became the single largest supplier of specialist compounded aseptic services in the UK. From that success he supported a management buyout of Genzyme Healthcare creating Careology Ltd. Most recently he co-founded ITH Pharma a pharmaceutical company committed to the research and development of aseptic preparations that provided unrivaled service in the industry.

Matthew

Matthew Wilder

Vice President of Sales

Matthew Wilder joins 11 Health as Vice President Sales. Matthew is responsible for the launch and sales of 11health and ostom-i Alert in the United States. Matthew brings over 15 years of experiences in sales, marketing, business development and general management to the company.

Matthew has extensive experiences within the senior leadership space having a variety of successes launching medical device and pharmaceutical products, development and manufacturing services and companies into the United States marketplace. Having acquired a deep knowledge of the hematology, oncology and diabetes therapeutic spaces while taking on senior leadership roles at Sanofi and NextPharma allows Matthew to bring diversity in thought and vision to 11 Health. Having taken on previous roles that had a geographic span of the entire United States allows Matthew to provide unique insight into the hospital, C-Suite and specialty channels  for medical device sales in the United States.

Geoffrey

Geoffrey S. Vertlieb

Director of Marketing and Communications

Geoffrey is the Director of Marketing and Communications at 11 Health and has over 20 years of experience in marketing technology and solution based selling. Now at 11 Health, Geoffrey manages integrated marketing strategy, brand development, digital content, demand generation, social media and public relations.

Geoffrey previously held senior marketing positions with global organizations including Tyco International, SANYO and Wallace Wireless. In these various roles, Geoffrey managed a variety of cross-functional teams with the training, leadership and motivation to surpass challenging objectives while achieving personal growth.

Geoffrey is very excited to be part of the 11 Health team and lives with his family in Toronto, Ontario.

Gavin

Gavin Emery

Manager of Software Development

Gavin Emery is the software manager at 11 Health. After obtaining his degree in Computer Science from an American university he formed his own business developing mobile software targeting iOS devices. Driven by an intense desire to help others through software, he returned to the UK to work in medical technology.

Gavin is responsible for the design and development of all of 11 Health’s software needs, ensuring an outstanding commitment to its quality and an unwavering dedication to the user experience.

Shesh

Shesh Acharya

Group Financial Controller

Shesh has several years’ experience in the manufacturing and pharmaceutical industry. He is currently responsible for implementing and maintaining financial controls and systems within all aspects of the business. Shesh also identifies and recommends potential operational efficiencies and improvements to working practices and procedures.

Shesh is also responsible for providing key financial data, support and reporting to assist in key business decisions.

Tara

Tara Kellam

Office Manager

Tara, our cheerful office manager has several years’ experience in office and operational management. She also brings to 11 Health her talent for delivering a high level of customer service and supports other departments including logistics and marketing. Tara is also a law graduate.

Harrison

Harrison Posner

Digital Marketing

Harrison is the newest member of the 11 Health team. Before joining 11 Health, Harrison was the operational manager for a retail candy shop where he developed a very customer-centric approach and attitude. Harrison studied business at college for three years, with a focus on marketing in his final year. After completing a two week internship at 11 Health, and performing exceptionally, Harrison was invited to become a full-time member of the 11 Health team. Currently, Harrison is being tasked with nurturing relationships through multiple social media channels and participating in meaningful conversations with those with an ostomy as a result of IBD, cancer or other medical challenges.
